Assassin's Creed Revelations: The Mentor's Final Journey
1. The Search for Truth
Years after his victory in Rome, Ezio Auditore travels to Masyaf, the ancient home of the Assassins. He discovers a secret library built by Altaïr, but it is sealed by five Masyaf Keys.
To find them, Ezio journeys to the vibrant city of Constantinople (Istanbul), where he must help the local Assassins fight back against the Byzantine Templars.
2. Walking in Altaïr’s Footsteps
Each key Ezio recovers allows him to relive a memory of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Through these visions, Ezio witnesses the greatest triumphs and tragedies of Altaïr’s life—from the death of his wife to his final days as the Grand Master of the Order.
This dual-narrative connects the heroes of the first two games in a powerful way.
3. New Tools of the Trade
In the Ottoman Empire, Ezio masters new techniques to stay ahead of his enemies:
- The Hookblade: A versatile tool used for fast ziplining across the city and performing unique combat throws.
- Bomb Crafting: Ezio can now create over 300 types of tactical, lethal, or diversionary bombs.
- Eagle Sense: An upgraded version of Eagle Vision that allows Ezio to track enemy paths and predict where they are going.
4. The Grand Finale
After collecting all the keys, Ezio returns to Masyaf to open the library. Inside, he finds no books or treasure—only the remains of Altaïr and a final Apple of Eden.
Realizing he is merely a "messenger," Ezio removes his hidden blades and speaks directly to Desmond Miles, acknowledging that his story is finished and it is now up to the future to save the world.
5. Desmond’s Coma
In the modern day, Desmond is trapped in a comatose state inside the Animus's "Black Room." To save his mind from fragmenting, he must relive these final memories of Ezio to reach a "Synch Nexus."
The game ends with Desmond waking up from his coma, surrounded by his team, as he prepares for the final journey to the Grand Temple in America.
